Major international competition coming up
Communication and Information Services (CIS) to the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) operating in Afghanistan have been provided through a combination of organic NATO resources and service provision by a contracted industrial source. These services are mission critical and form the core of the Afghanistan Mission Network. The contract for the industrial service provision is due to expire on the 31st December 2012, however, it is planned to extend this contract through end 2013 to allow transition to a new capability.
It is envisaged that the continuation of these services via commercial contract will be entirely service provision based, and will run for a period of3 to 5 years. The Agency envisages that the provider of this service provision contract will be sought through a best value open competition in accordance with NATO International Competitive Bidding (ICB) Procedures.
